On my summer vacation I brought home a new family member.... A little boy Shih Tzu..

A new, updated, Dr. Seuss book.

I do not like this Uncle Sam,

I do not like his health care scam.

I do not like these dirty crooks,

or how they lie and cook the books.

I do not like when Congress steals,

I do not like their secret deals.

I do not like this speaker, Nan,

I do not like this 'YES WE CAN.'

I do not like this spending spree,

I'm smart, I know that nothing's free.

I do not like your smug replies,

when I complain about your lies.

I do not like this kind of hope.

I do not like it, nope, nope, nope!

New School Prayer

WRITTEN BY A 15 yr. Old SCHOOL KID IN ARIZONA :

New Pledge of Allegiance (TOTALLY AWESOME)!

Since the Pledge of Allegiance
And
The Lord's Prayer
Are not allowed in most
Public schools anymore
Because the word 'God' is mentioned.....
A kid in Arizona wrote the attached


NEW School prayer:

Now I sit me down in school
Where praying is against the rule
For this great nation under God
Finds mention of Him very odd.


If Scripture now the class recites,
It violates the Bill of Rights.
And anytime my head I bow
Becomes a Federal matter now.


Our hair can be purple, orange or green,
That's no offense; it's a freedom scene..
The law is specific, the law is precise.
Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.


For praying in a public hall
Might offend someone with no faith at all..
In silence alone we must meditate,
God's name is prohibited by the state.


We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks,
And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks...
They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible.
To quote the Good Book makes me liable.
We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen,
And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King.
It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong,
We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong..


We can get our condoms and birth controls,
Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles..
But the Ten Commandments are not allowed,
No word of God must reach this crowd.


It's scary here I must confess,
When chaos reigns the school's a mess.
So, Lord, this silent plea I make:
Should I be shot; My soul please take!
Amen

Summer Daisy

I have not had too good of luck the past couple of weeks getting any pictures I want to show... but this daisy came out okay.

Killdeer Eggs

I took this picture a few weeks ago, I ran into another photographer at the lake, she had spotted this killdeer with her eggs and shared with me..
I love the orange ring around the birds eye.
I never got back to get a picture of the birds when they hatched.

Morning Swiming Lessons

There are two different family's of Geese that live at this pond I went back this morning and found a bunch of feathers all over the ground, and not a bird in sight.. So somebody was eaten by something ... I was so hoping to get more pictures of the lessons. It was real fun to watch.

Spring Blooms

I just love to take pictures of Dandelions, I knew a little girl that called them bloweys I thought that was so cute.

Crazy Bird House

I took this picture at one of my favorite ponds, there are quite a few birdhouses there and this one was new this year... Love the perch.. This picture was quite blow out so I tried to save it by making it a B&W
