Welcome to Kim's Place.
I believe that is some type of bird! LOL
Yep, Definitely a bird! :o)
Thats a partridge Kim. It used to be common in Greece and Crete also. There are not many left on the mountains of Crete now, due to their hunting. When I was a kid they were everywhere around the village and we could hear them singing at around the sunset, just before they were ready to settle for the night. It is a beautiful bird and I was really moved when I saw a big colony of them around the Poseidon Temple in cape Sounion near Athens, where they are protected.Check the following link which will take you to one of my posts with a few of them.http://naturedigital.blogspot.com/2009/11/partridges-around-temple-of-poseidon-at.htmlHave a great week.Costas
